Children with Trauma
This Intermediate three-part training for educators, focusing on specific interventions to reach and teach children with trauma. Participants will discuss observing post-trauma behaviors in an attempt to start healing the child, not diagnosing or labeling. The sessions will empower educators with information for establishing relationships, creating calming strategies and better understand the nervous system and brain development. Specific information will be discussed for teaching self-regulation, recognizing triggers and ways to start the healing process. Trainings will be offered in three 2-hour sessions.
