Meeting Students’ Needs. Lake Hamilton and Centerpoint teachers began SIOP training today, busting language acquisition myths and examining methods for supporting English Learners in content classrooms.





Lake Hamilton students and their teacher, Mrs. Kincannon, visited Saturday’s Southwest ESOL Institute to model how to plan and teach academic language and essay writing to English Learners. The girls did a great job facilitating activities and sharing their own experiences as English Learners.




Southwest ESOL Institute Saturday follow up was a success! Family engagement, ELP Standards, advocacy, Intentional Planning, and student interviews filled our day with fun!
