Administrators, Math, and Science educators from SWAEC and DESC leaned into this intensive Assessment Alchemy PD to learn how to curate and create high quality assessments for the ATLAS Classroom Tool. The ATLAS Classroom Tool is a powerful addition to the teacher tool box when used intentionally, frequently, and formatively. When assessments are thoughtfully designed, it provides instant information about individual student growth on strategically sequenced learning goals so that instruction can immediately be adapted to student needs. It also allows multiple opportunities throughout the year for students to engage with the tool which uses the same task format that they will navigate on the ATLAS Summative Assessment. Many thanks to the educators who committed their cognitive energy to one or both of the assessment PD's. Let us know how it impacts your students' growth and shifts the balance of the ATLAS footprint to the Classroom Tool.
